
Molly M. Flanagan
Molly M. Flanagan is the Great Lakes Senior Program Officer for the Erb Family Foundation. She works with the Foundation’s Great Lakes team to implement the Foundation’s Great Lakes grantmaking priorities to protect and restore this vital and vast ecosystem and its communities. She also supports Foundation grantees, using her extensive experience in the nonprofit and foundation sectors to help them fulfill their unique priorities.
Molly previously worked for the Alliance for the Great Lakes and the Joyce Foundation in Chicago and the National Wildlife Federation in Ann Arbor, Mich. She began her Great Lakes work at the Ohio Environmental Council. Like the Erb Family Foundation, these nonprofit organizations recognize and support the critical role the Great Lakes play in the region. Throughout her career, Molly has led and collaborated on environmental efforts in the Great Lakes region and built awareness of its contribution to the health and wellbeing of residents and to the economic and recreational advancement of the region.
Molly loves the outdoors and enjoys being active in nature, including running, hiking, and kayaking. She is an enthusiastic traveler, visiting a variety of international locations such as Japan and Italy. Molly lives in Chicago with Max, her big – 20-pounds big! – cat.
